Every photograph represents more than a finished image. Behind each frame is a journey shaped by curiosity, preparation, patience, and often a measure of unpredictability.
Some photographs begin with careful planning—a destination chosen weeks in advance, weather patterns monitored, and compositions imagined before arriving. Others emerge unexpectedly through changing light, shifting conditions, chance encounters, or fleeting moments that reveal themselves without warning.
Behind the Lens is a collection of stories exploring the experiences, decisions, challenges, and discoveries that shaped selected photographs and photographic journeys.
These reflections go beyond where an image was made. They explore what drew me to a place, how a scene evolved before the camera, what happened while waiting for the right conditions, and why certain photographs continue to hold meaning long after they were created.
